About The Artist

Painting has always been at the centre of Mireille’s life since she was a little girl. After studying English in Cambridge in her 20’s, Mireille went into the School of Arts to have more direction in her Art. Soon after, she exhibited in Cambridge at Exhibitions organised by the C.C. in the summer over 4 years. She attracted several commissions and sold her paintings well. She also studied portraiture under Bill Darrell for 7 years in Cambridge. She decorated two of her houses with murals and they were reviewed by the Cambridge Evening News. Mireille had two woman’s shows in Cambridge, Saffron Walden & Newmarket. The Fenland Landscape Painter Anthony Day was full of praise with her portraits. Later on in the early 90’s, she undertook a commission of five big panels for a restaurant in BSE. At this time Vulcan Portrait was conceived with her husband’s help and commissions were undertaken ever since. She has great affinity towards People and Animals and feels very comfortable at doing portraits from photographs in oils.Website is : – contact :
